Goose Bay, Chippewa Bay, Eel Bay and Lake of the Isles still have roughly 5 to 10 inches.  Shoreline conditions vary by location and caution should be used, once on the ice conditions are good (with the normal weak runoff spots). (I observed vehicles on Eel and Lake of the Isles on Sat and Sun this past week-I would not recommend but they were there)  Black Lake has 4 to 10 inches of ice.  The next couple of days should have close to normal temperatures and this will firm things up.

    This weekend is the Fire Dept/ K of C derby here in Clayton. While the ice conditions have been better we still have plenty inland lakes with ice along with Goose, Chippewa, Eel and Lake of the Isles.  This past weekend the Alex Bay derby was held and the winning pike was 14lbs.9ozs.

 Perch fishing has picked up in Chaumont at 15-20' of water with some nice catches. Panfishing in Lake of the Isles has been up and down.  Pike fishing has been good all over the area.
